“Hi Brian, Thank you for the spread sheet. Even though I thought I knew about the 38% & the 62% levels & how to use them, for some reason when ever I pick the direction & place a trade. You could gaurantee it would go the other way. So much so that I thought I should REVERSE TRADE. What ever direction I thought the trade would go, I should trade in the opposite direction. Looking back I would have made a fortune. Lucky for me I have only been using a DEMO account. Anyhow after getting your FREE calculator & playing wth it for a little while.last night I decided to get a new 50k demo account & start afresh & only trade when your calculator says GO. I have been using the 4hr & 1hr charts. I have stopped trading tonight at 7pm australian time about 24hrs since first starting. This includes sleeping & going to work for a while. Hi Brian..
this is really a stress Free method,and only using Daily and 4 hr Charts…just fantastic..all the trader needs to do is Understand and apply the methods…

I am been following your lessons day by day and I learnt a lot about Forex. Today a opened a position in EU/US and it has worked perfectly.
I want to know if it is possible to work in lesser frametimes, for example 1 hour and 15 minutes and if the stoploss must be stay freezed or I must be managing it in relation with the pivots or candles.
Besides I want to know if the profit price is only one or I can fix several prices and go taking profits.

@Luis – you’re asking good questions. Yes, it’s possible to use lower timeframes. I call this “Forex Surfing” & I’ll be teaching it in the bootcamp. There is a way to move your stop loss, I’ll be teaching that soon too. For now, just follow the basic forex sailing method.

Brian! The course has been great and I’m anxious for the Boot Camp. I have been trading for years but have been falling apart with all those ills a trader can suffer – emotion, over trading, etc., as a day trader. I have to get away from day trading and being glued to the screen. Your method plus the currency market is an answered prayer. I have a demo account with FXCM … ‘had some good trades with candy canes and umbrella handles. As the boot Camp starts I plan to follow along with a live account… ‘checking out eToro … I like the $.10 pip. The calculator is great! Thank you so much for your program! … and keep those examples coming our way!

Thanks for all the effort you are putting to let us learn forex free of charge. I have opened an account with etoro as you adviced, and I’m just waiting for the 90-days boot camping to begin. However,I discovered that etoro does not have any provision for 4hour period setting which now gets me confused on the period to use in doing forex sailing using this platform. Please, how can this problem be overcome. Thanks. Chiedu.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your Forex Blog and generosity in sharing your knowledge. I have been following every blog which you published. I started with some skepticism as I have read many books about FOREX trading and attended two formal training. Each of the trading methods have their own strength and weakness, and found that they do not match to my trading time and style as I am a working professional. I found your Forex Sailing suitable to my trading style and deliver good reward to risk when entered in the right direction. I was being taught to use small stop loss, such as not more than 50 pips and was not comfortable with the large stop of 150 to 300 or more pips used in Forex sailing. It was a psychological barrier to me. However, after completed your lessons and watching the examples that you gave, I began to understand why and how the Forex sailing stop loss work. The large stop loss comes with promises of reasonably large profit in the trade that goes the right direction and taken at the correct wave (III & IV). With your lessons, I am now more confident to trade with real money to build up my investment.

Hello Brian and all sailors, there has been quiet a lot of good comments about the course, all good, whilst I get the general direction of it I must admit to using old eyes and fuzzy head and as such I struggle with it a bit and for that reason I am looking forward to the boot camp where I hope there will be lots of actual demonstrations advice and direction that will put me on a correct heading to fully understanding it all .

Great Course so far – Very Informative

The Euro/Usd has just sneaked out of a long term downwards trend line and recent sideways consolidation at 12415 to 12453 as today so far this morning 28th May (gmt) – See what develops over next couple of days

Hi Brian
Regarding deposit fund to the account, what base currency will you recommend. I knew the profit or loss would have settled into the account faster if the account base currency in USD. However, if I did convert the base currency of the account from AUD to USD and then placed a trade for EUR/AUD or any other currency pair that does not contain USD it would have to have a conversion order to convert the profit of the trade back into base currency. And I wonder what your opinion is.

@Kulvadee – you can use whatever currency that you like as your base currency. However, if you’re following my examples, it may be helpful to use USD, which is what I use

Just wanted to ask:
How long are you using this method and how profitable is it ?
Another question:
Do you also trade correlated pairs at the same time, or do you avoid this ?
afaik EURUSD and USDCHF are for example nearly perfectly correlated.
When trading correlated pairs could it be that we double/triple,… the risk ?
What´s your opinion ?

Hi Brian

I need to get some clarification pertaining to Etoro live a/c. Its’ not MT4 and I tried downloading the demo on my PC but it can’t open the file as it says no access to file path. SO does it mean that I have to access my live a/c thru the webtrader a/c like how I funded the a/c,etc? So will trades be executed thru the webtrader access? Pls explain how to use this platform as it doesn’t have the tools like MT4. Look forward to your clarification and looking to learn as we move along.

Patricia, to allow the eToro client to download try clearing your cookies, cache, and active logins. In firefox it’s tools, clear recent history and then check mark the boxes alongside the three items mentioned above and hit clear now.

If you have IE see if you can do the same. Can’t promise anything but I’ll look for a solution for you if you get stuck.

I’ve really enjoyed receiving your daily emails since I registered for the “Sailing” course. Unfortunately, I’ve been working up a scaffold doing house maintenance for the last 6 weeks, but now I can start to study FX in depth. My aim is to work carefully through all the info you have given me, start trading on a practice account for a few weeks, and then sign up with your Live Forex Training, say end October. Hi Brian, I don’t know if your method works or not. I have tried every thing for the last 4 years and find it hard to trust any method now. I know the brokers use computers to disquise the trend. I am thinking really long term charts will show the trend better. It’s hard to believe this much money is traded and they still cover their tracks so well. I hope your method can track it and make some pips. Regards Darrell

@Darrell – thanks for a great comment. I think that you’re right about using longer term trends to reveal the real trend. I currently only trade with daily charts any more because it’s also less labor intensive as you only have to check your trades and update them once a day maximum since it takes an entire day to produce a single candle. Forex Sailing works, but not every sail will be successful. Spend the time to go through 20-30 sails and you’ll get a more accurate assessment of how well it works. This is true for any trading system

Brian, I concue with all the accolades showered upon you!
It has been a great learning experiance. I tried FX trading about 7 years ago and did my boots. “Lost my money”. This time I’m using a demo account and only trade when your Fibonacci Calculator gives me the OK! Lost on Monday & Tuesday but now beginning to undestand, so wins for the rest of the week. Account up 62%. Early days I know, but I am as dedicated as if it were real money. Thanks for all your effort.

Honestly what you are doing is amazing, combing life style with successful trade style is a great way to present it ,I’m a big fan of LAW of attraction and I’ve been looking for many resources and I really hope that with your help my search would be over.
I tried to work with Forex several years ago and I’ve got to say that I didn’t succeed , maybe I can have the guts now to enter the market after what I’ve I experienced failure before and I hope with your help and teaching I could reach financial abundance that I’m looking for, I’m just waiting to learn and too careful to take any step and I hope to have a real live trading learning from you.
