I work some odd hours, I would like to trade live but am not sure I will be around during your trading hours. Do you have any idea what time of day you will be trading?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@richard – it won’t matter what hours you work, you can trade 24 hours a day. Any email that’s sent will give you at least 48 hours on average to take advantage of an opportunity. If you check email one a day, you won’t miss anything. the program is designed for you to be able to comfortable miss 2-4 days a week without any problems. Trades are happening all the time, none of us can be there for them all :)

How long do we have to join?

Can I get in on the 8th of June?

That is before you are suppose to start right?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Mike – the 8th of June will be fine. As long as you register before the 15th :) Just register here.

Are you saying that for the live Bootcamp I can trade
the $200 real money without registering with a broker.

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Winston – you can register with any broker. The eToro deal is only for international (non-north-american) traders. All you need is the $50 registration fee & you’re ready to go.

    [Reply]

  4. NormaNo Gravatar Says:

If I live in North America and pay the $50 reg. fee for the bootcamp, I can use my account with ANY broker for the live trades and don’t have to open a live account with eToro, right?
    Thanks.

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

    @Norma – that’s correct.

I’ve already downloaded etoro and registered with them, but have not opened up an account yet! Not comfortable doing so after reading about them on the “Forex Peace Army Forum”.

Also, unfavorable comments on “FXCM” at same forum. Can you please respond on your recommending to open an $250.00 account with etoro and now to open an account of $200.00 with any broker I choose. Please advise?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Tim – the ultra fine print on the eToro deal fell through for US & Canada. It’s still a good deal for international clients. Since there is no commission involved (the main reason for using eToro), if you live in the US, the choice of broker is up to you. Since the incentive that eToro provided doesn’t count for North America, just go with a broker you like. You may still pick eToro, but since you refer to fxcm, they are also good.

Brian, I already have a micro account with FXCM, what lot sizes should be used to follow your trades?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Richard – Use the smallest lots. I think they’re $1K in a micro from fxcm. They have fractional pips, which are 1/10 of a pip. You’ll have to round off the last decimal place to follow the examples I’m sharing here.

    [Reply]

  7. RichardNo Gravatar Says:

Yeah the micro lots are $1k, thanks.

    Brian,

Is it ok to join the bootcamp even if I’ve not carefully studied the lessons I’ve received from you? Should I work hard to assimilate the 20 lessons and material from your website first?

    Sol

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Sol – as long as you understand the 75 minute Forex Sailing video course, you’ll be able to begin the bootcamp on the 15th. There’s still 15 days for you to spend 75 minutes learning that course. It should be pretty easy for you to do :)

I’m surprised eToro can’t offer the the same thing to US and Canadian clients as they offer to international clients. Seems like they screwed us. Brian would have brought them a lot of customers. Without the same offer this is no longer free and without all the brokerage accounts linked bootcamp members no longer get half of Brian’s profits. I’ll follow the archive thank you.

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@James – I was disappointed about this too :( I’m still asking eToro to reconsider). I’m hoping they do :)

What are the time are you scheduled for live webinar for the following systems?

Forex Surfing (daytrading) will begin after day 15. and Forex Swimming (scalping) will occur after day 45.

How many hour of each day for this trading/training live webinar?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Nathan – there will be a few LIVE sessions during this period. When these sessions are available, they’ll be at different times on different days so everyone gets equal access. It won’t be a webinar, it’ll be an instant messenger conversation. I’ll also be providing detailed reports of what to look for during sessions where we aren’t doing any instant messenging.

    Brian,
At the end of your 5/30 email there’s a P.S. saying ‘If I received your valid registration before 8:00 pm EST,
on May 31st, 2010 you’ll still be under the original
(now international) LIVE bootcamp.’ Does that mean people living in the US/Canada will have the same deal as people from international, no registration fee and will be getting the bonus? Or does it mean something else?
    Thank you.
    Yue

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Yue – this means that people from US/Canada who had already funded an eToro account prior to that email being sent will have the INTERNATIONAL deal. It means they got lucky because I have to honor a deal that I posted. It means that the money comes out of my pocket. There were several people who this applied to, they’ll just be in the INTERNATIONAL bootcamp.

Thanks for the great training articles and videos. I’m looking forward to the Bootcamp, maybe now I’ll learn to trade the right way. Others would charge you thousands of $ for the Bootcamp, Thanks again.

I’ll be funding a FXCM account in a day or two.

Can you use daily Pivot Points instead of drawing your own support and resistence lines?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@F. Perry – you can always do what you want to do :) I won’t be teaching pivot points in the bootcamp, but I encourage you to put them on your charts ALONG WITH the Forex Sailing/Surfing/Swimming projections. This should be a valuable experience for you :)

There ARE brokers that will pay you for being an Introducing Broker so you could offer a similar deal as the eToro deal… Have you looked into this?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Peter – yes, I have. I’m still exploring this as well. For now, I’m moving forward with things the way they are. When I can put together a better deal, I certainly will without hesitation :)

I opened a practice account with etoro as you recommended and now it seems there is a problem. Who do you suggest for the bootcamp. I have not submitted any $ to etoro and would be willing to open an account with whom you feel would be best for the bootcamp. I wish to activily trade with you for the 90 days. Does etoro being in cyprus the problem? Help

Can I start with the archive asapect of the bootcamp and switch to the live portion or is it one or the other?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Gottfried – I’ll still be using eToro for my $200 account that I’ll be featuring in the bootcamp. If you’re in the US (or Canada), you can choose to use another broker if you like. You can start with the Archive. The registration fee will probably be $100 after the bootcamp begins. I don’t intend to raise it again after that for awhile.

Is there a fundamental reason for NOT using a trading platform like Think or Swim?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

No, you’re free to use them. I used them for options awhile ago, back then their forex platform wasn’t very good. Has it improved much since then? I’ll have to check it out. There are a lot of brokers out there. It would be interesting to take a survey of RF readers & see what their fav platform is. I’ll add this to my “good things to do on the blog” list. Thanks Doug!

I use Metatrader with FXDD. Will that work for the training? Also, if we have leverage available beyond 1:100, what do you recommend?

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Peter – sure, that will work. Just stay within the 5% money management rule and you can use any leverage. I’ll be using 400:1, but by risking no more than 5% on a single trade (1% or 2% for certain types of trades) I’m capping my risk. There are two ways to reduce risk: 1.) reduce leverage 2.) reduce pip size risk per trade.

Thanks Brian. I hope eToro comes around with their account offer for US/Canada clients too.

You still need to correct your bootcamp is beginning mailing going out to new newsletter subscribers where the terms have changed. And the word soldier is misspelled. No biggie but maybe a soldier might care.

@James – thanks for catching the typo, I just fixed it. I’ve announced that the terms have changed, so now they’re posted for everyone to see. Any new person coming to the site will only see the new deal :)

I am working on getting eToro approved for USA & Canada. I’m hoping they’ll see the benefit of a lot of customers :)

What charts do we need? Can they be used on a Linux/Ubuntu or Mac operating system, or is Microsoft Windows absolutely essential? I normally used Metatrader 4 which works just fine, but some other charts I’ve tried, as well as webinar software, I have trouble getting it to work.

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

Peter – I use Linux (Ubuntu to be exact). When I have to, I run windows XP in a Virtualbox VOS. These charts are good enough for sailing, & are web based, so you can run them from any OS.

    1. Which trading platform/Broker do you recommend?

    2. Are you going to trade live so I could watch and learn as you trade and what time are you going to do this?

    2. Yes, that’s the point of the LIVE bootcamp. I’ll notify about most trades through email. As far as daytrading, I’ll be posting those times. I’ll be posting tomorrow a more in-depth explanation of this on the blog tomorrow :)

I’ll be at work so I don’t know how I’ll manage attending a live trading bootcamp. Would the live trading benefit me at all when I pay the $50 registration fee (Canadian resident) as it appears that I will be missing the live trading should it coincide with my 8 to 4 job (Mountain Time). Don’t worry, working a day job is temporary.

Can I use Prime4x as my brokerage account??

Thank you in advance for your reply. You’re doing an amazing job in educating us all in forex.

    Hey Brian,

I just read on the blog where you told someone that we would be making trades using etoro. So now I am confused. I want to go ahead and get my acct set up. I currently live in the USA. Is Etoro using FXCM or is that a seperate company all together. I want to use the same trading platform that you are using, I am new and being on the same page as you will cut down on my confusion. Awaiting your most urgent response.

    Thanks.

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Deborah – FXCM & eToro are completely seperate. I actually use both FXCM & eToro. I’ll be using eToro for the $250 account & FXCM for my private account that does larger trades. It’s really not that big of a difference since all you’re using the broker for is to enter a trade & place stops/limits. The platform isn’t that important for what we’re doing (it’ll be important if you decide to become a full time day trader, but to learn the basics it really doesn’t matter).

    Hi brian,

I went over the info you sent after I registered. Forgive me
for asking but am I correct in saying that if you live on
the east coast then greenwich mean time is 4 hours ahead of us in regards to taking the live class? Thanks!

    [Reply]

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Kimey – EST is 4 hours behind GMT because or daylight savings time. It’ll change to 5 hours difference in the fall.

Tip: If you ever want to know the time in GMT, just do a google search for “current time GMT,” or there’s a timezone converter here.

If so, please send me the links that is required as a background (the 75 minute course that you referred to earlier) and anything else that you think might be a pre-requisite to start.

Thanks a lot for your help and selfless work.

    Rapid ForexNo Gravatar Reply:

@Kumar – the bootcamp is totally flexible. You can trade whenever you like & choose the timeframes that work for you. I’ll only be daytrading to teach others. I generally don’t prefer it because I don’t like to work more than 30 minutes a day at trading.
